The new Fulcrum Racing Zero Carbon CMPTZN Disc Brake Wheelset follows the most minimalist trends in terms of looks, thereby making the technical
choices taken by our engineers even more astonishing.

Additional details include a solid, airtight outer rim wall thanks to Fulcrum’s clever MoMag assembly process (whereby the aluminum nipples are fitted with a steel slug and then guided into place with a magnet), 21 bladed aluminum spokes per wheel with two-to-one lacing patterns for more even spoke tensions, a carbon fiber front hub body, and strategically placed swatches of carbon fiber at each spoke hole for additional pull-through strength without adding unnecessary mass.

Fulcrum is offering the Racing Zero CMPTZN DB with Shimano/SRAM, Campagnolo, or SRAM XDR (at a small upcharge) aluminum freehub bodies, all with splined rotor interfaces. The stock hub fitment configuration is 12mm thru-axle front and rear, although optional end caps are available for quick-release, 15x100mm front thru-axle, and 12x135mm rear thru-axle interfaces.

Restyling did not stop at aesthetics alone, despite being the most eye-catching and inspiring aspect, but focused above all on the heart.

The Racing Zero Carbon CMPTZN DB now mounts CULT bearings which in addition to ensuring unparalleled smoothness also make the wheel 10 grams lighter.

CULT™ (CERAMIC ULTIMATE LEVEL TECHNOLOGY™) bearings are made using a special steel for the bearing races: the material offers extremely high corrosion resistance so that the bearings can be lubricated with a thin layer of oil instead of standard bearing grease. The high quality ceramic ball bearings, thanks to the absence of lubricating grease and the precision of the bearings themselves, help drastically reduce the friction coefficient, thus increasing the smoothness of the wheels by as much as 9 times compared to standard solutions.
